How to Care for Resin So It Lasts a Lifetime

Cared for simply, a resin piece will outlast almost everything else on your shelf. Here's how to keep it looking the way it did the day it arrived.

Keep it out of harsh sun

Prolonged direct sunlight and heat are resin's only real enemies. A bright room is fine; a sun-baked windowsill, over years, is not.

Dust, don't drench

Wipe pieces with a soft, dry or barely-damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, which can dull the polished surface.

Jewellery: last on, first off

Put resin jewellery on after perfume and lotion, and take it off before swimming or showering. It keeps the shine and protects the findings.
